Brandon R. Gossett

Senior Counsel – Atlanta

Brandon R. Gossett is an insurance coverage attorney in Atlanta. He has been representing domestic and international insurers in coverage disputes for nearly a decade, particularly on claims arising from professional liability, general liability, and commercial property policies. Brandon provides coverage advice to insurers, prosecutes declaratory judgment actions brought by insurers, and defends coverage and bad faith actions brought by insureds.

Before joining Fields Howell as Senior Counsel, Brandon served as an associate at an international law firm where he focused on insurance coverage and defense. During that time, he worked with claims handlers, underwriters, and in-house attorneys for insurers throughout the life of claims, working to resolve claims both through and outside of litigation. As a litigator, Brandon has represented insurers in federal and state courts around the country, at the trial and appellate levels.

In addition to representing insurers in claims disputes, Brandon assists insurers in developing new policy forms and products, drafting manuscript language for individual policies, and working with state regulatory bodies to approve and file admitted policy forms.

Brandon is a two-time graduate of the University of Georgia. He first earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science in 2010. He then graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law where he served as the Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.
